The Ask and The Offer

I’m looking for a sharp, thoughtful, highly capable part-time Social Media Manager to help us turn strong ideas into consistent, high-quality distribution across platforms.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that great content isn’t just created, it’s placed, paced, and translated for where people actually are. You’ll take our existing Instagram content and repurpose it intelligently across X, Threads, TikTok, Substack, Facebook, and wherever else it belongs.

Responsibilities

Your job is simple to say and hard to do well: help our ideas travel further, land better, and compound over time.

You’ll be responsible for adapting, publishing, and optimizing content across platforms while maintaining a coherent brand voice and momentum. This is less about chasing trends and more about smart execution, consistency, and feedback loops.

What You’ll Do

  • Adapt Instagram carousels, captions, and stories for X (Twitter), Threads, TikTok, Substack, Facebook, and other relevant platforms

  • Tailor copy, format, hashtags, and timing to each platform’s best practices

  • Manage posting schedules and maintain consistency across channels

  • Preserve and reinforce a calm, trustworthy, educational brand voice

  • Run organic engagement strategies and selectively boost posts with small paid budgets

  • Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth) and share simple weekly insights

  • Occasionally create lightweight, platform-native content (threads, short clips, polls, text posts) to support the core content

  • Keep things organized, on time, and moving without hand-holding

About You

Proven experience managing social media for a brand or creator:

  1. Strong understanding of Instagram, X, Threads, TikTok, and Facebook dynamics

  2. Comfortable repurposing content rather than reinventing it every time

  3. Clear, confident writer with good editorial judgment

  4. Organized, self-directed, and reliable in async work environments

  5. Comfortable working remotely via Slack and email

  6. Familiar with tools like Figma, Canva, Buffer, CapCut, or similar (not precious about tools - just effective)

  • Start Date: ASAP - the sooner we find each other, the better

  • Employment Status: Starting part-time (10–15 hrs/week) with the intention to likely ramp up from there

  • Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience. We’re open to a range, what matters most is taste, reliability, and follow-through.
